What do you do when a file breaks your flow?

Hi everyone. I’m looking for one recent time when working with local files made it hard to get back to a task.

I’m building Voyager, a macOS file manager for knowledge workers who lose time finding and reusing files.
Right now it’s a native file browser where folders, AI chat, and other work pages can stay open together. You can talk with the files you’re already looking at, and pin the setups you expect to come back to.
Over time I want agents and more automation on top of that, so getting back into the real task is faster than rebuilding context every time.

I’m collecting recent examples of those stuck moments so I know what to focus on first.
I’m running a short survey about one of them: what you were trying to do with the files, what made that harder, and how you handle similar work now.

It takes about 3-5 minutes, and you can answer the main questions without entering your name or email.
At the end, you can choose whether you’d like a 7-day Voyager trial code.

If you have a recent example to share, the survey is here: How do local files fit into your work?
