I figured this crowd may like something like this. I recently published a Homebridge plugin that allows users to configure a time-based trigger with a “random factor”. For example, you can have a trigger set to detect motion ay 6pm +/- 20 minutes and continue detecting motion to 6hours +/- 15 minutes. Then with a couple of HomeKit automations - you can turn lights on/off in the evening to make it look like someone is home while you are away on holiday,
