When using the new Shortcuts for Things, you might run into the problem that Shortcuts created on the iPhone don’t work on the iPad and vice-versa.
The reason seems to be that they are independent apps and therefore donate different actions to Shortcuts that look identical.
To create a universal Shortcut, you need to add an if clause to your Shortcut that runs the correct action depending on the device.
There’s a help article available on the Things website and I thought I’ll share it here, so you’re not “fixing” Shortcuts on one device only to find it broken on the other.
