Siri Shortcuts creates copies of files unintentionally

Hi everyone, this is a great forum and thanks to the hosts for their excellent work.

I was trying out Siri Shortcuts lately and it‘s a great tool. One problem I could not solve so far:

I log my working hours in a numbers sheet. My Siri Shortcut is as folllows for now: it copies the current date and time into the clipboard, then it opens the dialog where I can pick a file, which then gets handed over to the „Open with“ dialog. The problem is that as it opens in numbers it creates a copy of the file instead of opening the original file for editing.

Does anyone know how to solve this?

Thanks in advance,
Felix

Unfortunately there is no way to open an existing file in an app without making a copy that I know of. I would suggest you use the open app action instead and then get the file.
