Shortcut Order remembers the order of your shortcuts in the All Shortcuts library and lets you restore it later when the notorious Shortcuts bug happens to you. It has two benefits:
- Restores the order, of course
- Potentially lets you fix iCloud sync issues across multiple devices by moving out-of-sync shortcuts to the top
This is not a backup tool. It’s a reordering tool.
To illustrate what it’s doing, let’s say you have these shortcuts and store the order using Shortcut Order:
Later, you delete Yellow and create some shortcuts and suddenly the order gets all mixed up:
You run Shortcut Order and restore the order, then it rearranges the shortcuts it remembers and also moves unknown shortcuts (Brown and Pink) to the top:
Note: Shortcut Order will disconnect your device from the network while restoring, because iCloud syncing in the middle of restoring can mess up the order. Rebooting your device is recommended before restoring.
Make sure to run the shortcut and store the order frequently whenever you are happy with the current arrangement. The bug can come to you unexpectedly🫨
