I use wired carplay in my vehicle constantly. The problem is that the car’s microphone is terrible and it is impossible to get accurate dictation (or take calls for that matter). When a call is incoming I just select speaker and take the call while the phone is still plugged in. But if I want to dictate something I have to unplug the phone (e.g. I have a shortcut that prompts for dictated speech and adds a new note to obsidian so that I can capture thoughts on the road).
Is there any kind of action, third party or otherwise, that would allow me to set the audio input to the phone whenever carplay is in use and effectively override using the vehicles microphone?
