Run iPad automation or shortcut on “sleep” or screen off?

I can’t find a way to do this, but in case I’m missing something: is there a way to run an automation/shortcut when an iPad goes to sleep?

Not unless you are doing something else very specific at the same time. The list of available triggers is as you see it in the Shortcuts app’s automation tab. Apple have to provide the triggers, and that option simply isn’t on the list.

Yeah, that’s what I thought. I wanted to have a ‘super low power mode’ to trigger when I close the cover of my iPad mini case, but I guess I’ll have to settle for turning Airplane Mode on, which triggers turning off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Cellular, and sets the screen brightness very low. I have another shortcut that re-enables everything when I turn Airplane Mode off, and sets the brightness to about 75%.
