One-click "new Google Sheet" button on Chrome MacOS

I want a one-click (or one-step) method to immediately open a new Google Sheet in my macOS Chrome browser.

Use case: I often use draft spreadsheets as a sort of scrap for quick calculations and tables. I hate having to first go to my g-suite Sheets URL and then press the “Start a new spreadsheet” button to start a sheet - it slows me down several seconds.

I thought I’d be able to add the button’s URL to my bookmarks bar, but no URL exists. It’s some sort of button or widget (excuse my webpage architecture ignorance). I inspected the element and got confused.

Anyone have a solution?

Cheers from across the pond, my treat  :coffee:

There is even a faster shortcut in case you type it: https://sheet.new
