iOS 13 share shortcuts

I’m trying to share a shortcut with a friend who’s on iOS 13
They can’t install the shortcut because of the security settings, but they also do not have the “allow untrusted shortcuts” toggle in settings.

Is there anything else I can do to fix this apart from putting them on the 13.1 beta?

They may have the wrong Shortcuts installed. You could try uninstalling it and reinstalling it and seeing if the preference appears.

I tried this just now, unfortunately the setting is still missing:

D728AAAB-E76E-4600-8845-57A02019FC34

(language should not matter, so I left it at Dutch)

I’m pretty sure they need to build a shortcut (or get one from the gallery) and run it a couple times first.

This is the answer, unfortunately. I’ve had to walk a few friends through this and it is incredibly frustrating. I just had them download one from the gallery and run it once or twice.

I’ll try that and will let you if it works

it’s ridiculous, but your suggestion worked @brentacPrime
a prime example of Apple mothering too much

I have to agree. I don’t mind they make you toggle the switch in Settings. I do mind they make you run a shortcut first before it shows up, but don’t actually tell you that.
