Help please with creating Shortcuts for blind/low vision users

Hi team. I help (generally 80-100yo) people with low vision or total sight loss to use technology. Although I help with VoiceOver a lot, sometimes this is a bit much for beginners with no previous tech experience, and with other issues potentially around cognition and mobility. Remembering and carrying out gestures can be a challenge.
So… I sometimes help them set up Shortcuts for simple tasks that vanilla Siri can’t do. However I’m not a super-expert on it and wondered if - when required - any of you might be open to helping me out?
If so please ping me your details: Contact
Or would it be OK to just ask here?
Thanks!

I would suggest just post a new topic when you need help or advice on something in particular. This is simply how online forums like this one work.

The advantages of having the conversations here vs directly with an individual are:

  1. Everyone can pitch in with ideas and suggestions giving you access to the widest possible breadth of expertise and creativity.
  2. Everyone can find it - the forum is indeexed by search engines so ideas and answers can be found by anyone who goes looking online.
  3. Thee is often a benefit as multiple views and suggestions are applied to an issue.
  4. You are tapping into a global community so people are able to pick up on the conversation 24x7 rather than only when a particular individual is available.

Whenever I get people messaging me directly to help them, I always try to politely redirect them to posting their request to the forum so everyone can contribute and benefit for the reasons outlined above.

That’s great advice, thanks @sylumer (ps thanks for Drafts, use it all the time)

Just to be clear I didn’t create Drafts. That praise should be directed to @agiletortoise.

Oops yes praise be to @agiletortoise, my bad! Thanks so much for replying so constructively
