Has anyone else's Shortcuts really slowed down?

I have a shortcut that in the last month has gone from being basically instant, to 10-12 seconds to execute and I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

My short Shortcuts (2-3 actions) seem fine, but this particular one has 11 actions–it’s basically a selector Shortcut so that I can pick which number (within the same contact) to dial.

Just yesterday my shortcuts ran so slowly that it was basically broken. If I pushed the automation button on the bottom of the screen, the app would completely freeze. Even other apps randomly crashed. Even after I rebooted the phone it still had the same issues. Finally I force restarted the phone and it works perfectly now. https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/force-restart-iphone-iph8903c3ee6/ios

So I would try rebooting. If that doesn’t work I would try force restarting. Hopefully that helps.

I’m still hanging.

It seems to hang in the “Find All contacts where name contains” block. It’s as though, the search function has been completely de-optimized somehow?

My perception is that Shortcuts execution has slowed dramatically. I have quite a few Shortcuts that loop through simple calculations (please check out my latest, a racing game called Rally 2000), and they are quite noticeably slower than I recall them being just a few weeks ago.

Stu, this is absolute insanity, how have you even made this!?

Loving it! Surely you should just be building this in Swift at this point…?

Thanks Alex! I suppose you’re right, but, you know, then instead of being a “I can’t believe you made that,” it would become a “why’d you bother to make that.”

I posted another ridiculous one the other day: https://proloststore.com/products/bipus
