Flashing the IOS Flashlight (@concert)

I was recently at a local soccer (furbol) match and at the end most of the fans starting using their flashlights on phones… so it got me thinking if there was a way to create a shortcut that turns on and off the light to some random or pre-defined manner (ie., blink)… This further got me thinking that it would be nice to have a short cut that perhaps used Morse code to state something like SOS or WIN or ENCORE etc… I played around a bit but got pulled away… so I thought I’d put out the the Automators group to see if anyone has something like this…

Some of my initial thoughts were that it would ask for input as to “saying”… then go out to find the respective Morse Code to “flash” for the saying then keep repeating until user turns off…

This could also be helpful if someone were unable to get help but could signal SOS… if say someone falls or is in an accident etc…

Just some thoughts…

The flashlight switching has been around since early Workflow, so these have been around a while…

Here’s my SOS example from back when Workflow first came out; so no magic variables, but still functional.

This one isn’t mine, but was one I found for Workflow when I was checking if I should make a Morse code conveter.

Hope that helps, and there’s definitel some scope here for improvements :wink:
