I color-code the events on my primary google calendar based on type (some personal/work categories) - right now, this is partly a manual process. One thing I do frequently is invite myself (my primary google calendar) to an event from another google calendar I manage (family or a work team calendar) - this is all because only my primary google calendar can serve to block events when it is pulled into my work Outlook calendar.
I’d like to create an automation that will automatically color-code events that I’m invited to based on the invite-sender. I could probably do this in Zapier, but I think it could only trigger anytime a new event is created on my calendar, which is often, and that seems like a lot of triggered events (I’m worried it would use a lot of my quota on my current Zapier tier). I use a google script I found for subscribed calendar duplication and am very pleased with it - I think I’m looking for a google script that can perform this new task for me.
Any ideas? I do not know how to code or script anything - I can manage editing with searches and trial/error, but I don’t think I can write this from scratch.
Any help is appreciated!!
