Experimenting with HomeKit secure video facial recognition. (Haven’t played it for a while since the beta versions).
Wondering if it is possible to trigger any kind of automation when a specific person is recognized by a camera?

Apparently, no.
But an interesting aside - if a Nest camera is interfaced through HomeBridge, each existing face in the Nest facial recognition database is exposed as a HomeKit virtual motion detector.
From there, automations can be done. I haven’t experimented with this beyond hooking up a Nest Hello Doorbell (which supports facial recognition).
I don’t know how it handles newly detected/flagged faces, but an interesting hack, nonetheless.
