To my eternal disappointment a lot of the people I keep in touch with are using FB Messenger but I can never find any workflows or Drafts actions that support it? Even drag and drop from Fiery Feeds onto it in split screen mode does not seem to work?
IS there any x-callback or drafts actions that can work with this pesky app?

FB Messenger is difficult for me as well. It and SMS messages are notoriously easy to forget to reply/follow-up.
I’ve been trying to automate Messenger as well, but I couldn’t find a way. Not even supporting URL schemes as far as I could see.
I guess it’s not in their interest to support any kind of automation. They want you to spend as much time in their app (and watch advertisements) as possible.
