Are there some situations (ie specific tasks) where Automator is preferable to keyboard maestro?

I am a regular user of keyboard maestro and was wondering if sometimes (specific situations), I would be better off using Automator.
I am referring to specific situations, not changing over to automator.

I can think of two cases:

  • When portability is important, e.g. if you build a macro which you might share with someone lacking KM. Automator is built in and always available.
  • When an applet is suitable. In automator, you can build an “App” which can reside in the dock and supports dragging and dropping files.
