Append highlighted word to existing Apple or Drafts Note

I’m learning Spanish and use Anki, a spaced repetition program that many language learners use. I would like to be able to highlight a word or phrase on the web or Apple Books and append the highlighted word or phrase to a note either in Apple Notes or Drafts and automatically append to a list I have created called “Words to add to Anki”. Not a KM wizard. Any suggestions?

You might want to look in to PopClip. While I haven’t used it for that specific use case, there are extensions to append to either an Apple Note or Drafts.

You can also create your own extensions fairly easily.
