Here’s a little workflow for those selling textbooks. BookScouter lets you enter a book’s ISBN to search multiple book buyers and compare what they’ll pay for that book. I used to use it a lot and recently needed to check a few books, so I made a workflow to speed things up.
This workflow will let you scan the book’s barcode and then open Safari to a list of prices. In case you sometimes have issues, it does also give you the option to enter the ISBN manually (just the digits, no dashes).
This could probably be just as easily modified to work with other sites. I just searched for something on BookScouter so I could see what the URL looks like and then replaced the query with a variable containing the menu result in Workflow, being either the scanned or typed ISBN.
