Sometimes I want to take few photos and then store those into specific albums. I have made a shortcut which ask how many photos were clicked and then use the “get the latest” action to get all those photos and save to a particular album. The problem I am facing is that the photos are not saved in the order taken. How can I preserve the order ?

Try adding a find photos after your selection. This will switch to become filter photos. It includes an option to sort based on photo meta data. I would suggest trying sorting by creation date, date taken, or time taken.
Hopefully, that will fix your ordering issue.
If not, please share your shortcut and any additional details/examples (e.g. how exactly the order changes - I’m guessing maybe reverse chronological) you might have.
