Learning Javascript

So many of IOS tools use JavaScript as an automation language now. It’s been a long time since I’ve done programming, and I’ve had my mind twisted a bit by AppleScript. The JavaScript books I’ve looked at are all web centric which is understandable as that is where JavaScript has been most often used. Can anyone recommend any books that either discuss JavaScript as an automation tool, or don’t focus on the web aspect as much?
